SWAN, the Singapore-Western Australia Network, offers new ways of linking Singaporeans with all Australians. It is a showcase for the Singapore community’s contribution to Western Australian life.

 

The SWAN  community is not restricted to Singaporeans; we welcome people born in Australia and anyone from any culture or background who is interested in learning about Singapore.

 

SWAN aims to show the Singapore community offers more than just trade and commerce; we have achievements in the arts, culinary skills, intellectual and sporting excellence. Our activities promotes the full multicultural tapestry of Singapore, a complex and vibrant society.

THOSAI CLUB Closed for Christmas Season
Please Note the Thosai Club is closed for the festive season. Also note that the Bateman (Mandala Hall) group will meet again on 2nd Sunday of January, 13 January 2008, while the Kardiniya Community Centre group will resume on the last Sunday of January, 27 January 2008.

Monthly ‘THOSAI CLUB’
‘THOSAI CLUB’ Thosai, paratha, idli, puri, samosa, vadai, and kueh-kueh... get the picture? All these yummy Indian brunch foods, served up in home-cooking style by mostly Singaporeans and Malaysians of southern Indian descent, are available every second and last Sunday of the month ! Vegetarian only. Tea and coffee available. Affordable prices. Takeaways available. Proceeds go to two Indian-community cultural groups, including to their Hindu temple building fund. Be on time to get a comfortable table and easy parking! Be patient, all the staff are volunteers! 2nd Sunday of the month, 11.30am -1.30pm approx, at Mandala Hall (Tamil Association of WA), Mandala Crescent, off Electra Street, Bateman. (Driving in the Fremantle direction, you cross the intersection with Kwinana Freeway, then take the second small street left, Electra St; the low-rise brick hall sitting at the T-junction at the end of the street is Mandala Hall).
